Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Ronai Labs ("we," "us," or "our") may collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal information when people use the Ronai Labs mobile application, related services, and this website.

This policy describes the current data-handling practices of Ronai Labs for its production mobile services.

1. Overview

Ronai Labs is an AI companion and chat application. Users may create an account, sign in, answer onboarding questions to personalize the experience, exchange messages with AI-generated companions, and access premium features through subscriptions.

Because the app involves user-generated content and AI-generated responses, some information is processed to operate the service, improve the user experience, secure accounts, manage subscriptions, analyze app performance, and comply with legal obligations.

2. Information we may collect

2.1 Information provided by users

  • Account details such as email address, display name, login credentials, and authentication identifiers.
  • Profile details such as age range, preferences, avatar choices, and onboarding responses.
  • Chat content, prompts, feedback, support messages, or other content users submit through the app.
  • Subscription-related information such as plan type, purchase status, renewal status, and entitlements.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and technical information such as device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, IP-derived region, and identifiers permitted by the platform.
  • Usage analytics such as session activity, screens viewed, feature interactions, timestamps, and in-app events.
  • Crash reports, diagnostics, and performance data used to monitor and improve reliability.

2.3 Information from third parties

  • Authentication providers that help us sign users in.
  • Payment or subscription platforms that confirm purchase status.
  • Hosting, analytics, or security service providers that support our infrastructure.

3. How we may use personal information

  • To create and manage accounts, sign users in, and maintain access to the service.
  • To personalize the user experience, including onboarding-based customization and companion preferences.
  • To generate AI responses and improve service quality, safety, moderation, and feature performance.
  • To process subscriptions, restore purchases, and manage premium access.
  • To provide customer support and respond to questions, complaints, or privacy requests.
  • To monitor usage, detect abuse, investigate fraud, and maintain security.
  • To analyze app performance, debug errors, and improve usability.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies and rights.

4. Legal basis and purpose of processing

Depending on the user’s location and applicable law, we may process personal information on one or more of the following grounds:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the app, maintain accounts, deliver paid features, and respond to support requests.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent abuse, analyze performance, improve features, and maintain operations.
  • Consent: when consent is required for certain analytics, marketing, or optional features.
  • Legal obligation: when processing is needed to comply with laws, requests from authorities, or tax and accounting duties.

5. Sharing with third parties

We may share information with service providers and business partners that help us operate the app. These may include providers for:

  • authentication and account management;
  • analytics and performance monitoring;
  • subscription management and payment processing;
  • cloud hosting, storage, and backend infrastructure;
  • crash reporting, security, and fraud prevention;
  • customer support and communication tools.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or support a merger, acquisition, financing, or business transfer.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the service, maintaining records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and complying with legal obligations.

  • Account information may be retained while an account remains active and for a limited period afterward.
  • Chat content may be retained for service operation, safety review, debugging, abuse prevention, or product improvement, subject to applicable law and internal retention rules.
  • Billing and transaction records may be retained for tax, accounting, audit, and legal compliance purposes.
  • Aggregated or de-identified information may be kept longer where permitted by law.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No security measure is perfect, and no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for contacting us promptly if they believe their account has been compromised.

8. Children’s privacy

Ronai Labs is intended for a general audience unless otherwise specified. It is not directed to children below the age required by applicable law in the relevant jurisdiction. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child without appropriate authorization where required, we will take steps to delete that information.

9. User rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights regarding their personal information, such as the right to:

  • request access to certain personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of certain information;
  • request restriction of processing in some cases;
  • object to certain processing activities;
  • request data portability where available;
  • withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.

We may need to verify a person’s identity before fulfilling a request. Some requests may be limited by law, technical constraints, fraud prevention needs, or legitimate business interests.

10. Account deletion and data deletion requests

Users may request account deletion or ask questions about personal data by contacting us at support.ronailabs@gmail.com or through any in-app deletion method that may be offered.

  • Include enough information for us to identify the account.
  • Some information may be retained where required for legal, fraud prevention, accounting, or security reasons.
  • Backup copies may remain for a limited period before secure deletion or overwrite occurs in the ordinary course of operations.

11. Google Play data disclosure commitments

For Android distributions, Ronai Labs provides data handling disclosures in Google Play Console Data safety forms that are intended to remain consistent with this Privacy Policy. If a material difference occurs, we will update either the Data safety disclosure or this Privacy Policy promptly.

  • Users can request account and data deletion by email at support.ronailabs@gmail.com.
  • Data access is limited to personnel and processors with a business need and contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Data shared with service providers is limited to what is reasonably necessary for app operation, billing, fraud prevention, analytics, and support.

12. International data transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries where our service providers or infrastructure are located. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers as required by applicable law.

13. AI responses and safety notice

Ronai Labs may generate responses using artificial intelligence systems. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate in some situations. Users should not rely on AI-generated content as professional advice, including legal, medical, financial, or mental health advice.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the app, website, or other appropriate means.
